Application Process for:

 

THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND ADULTS UNDER THE AGE OF 25 RESIDENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT;

 

In order to make an application for a educational grant to Potton Consolidated Charity, please read the guidance notes below -

 

1.  Read the guidelines below and please note, you MUST live in Potton and not in one of the surrounding areas.

 

2.  If you wish to apply for an Educational Grant then please follow these simple steps –

  • We must stress, the full printable / downloadable application form must be completed fully, signed and posted to the Charities Clerk to the address stated on the form.

 

3. You will be notified of the amount in writing by the Clerk once your application has been approved and the Education Grants have been

    agreed by the Trustees. Please be aware that you will normally be notified of this sometime during November / December.

 

4. Finally, The Trustees would like to make it clear that the Educational Grants are not means tested and are therefore open to anybody

    living within Potton who fulfils the criteria stated.

GUIDELINES

 

HIGHER EDUCATION GRANT APPLICATION (18 - 25 Year Olds)FORMS FOR SEPT – JULY

 

1: Grants are available for full time study only.

 

2: Students should be over the age of 18 and under the age of 25 at the beginning of the academic year, i.e. 1st September. (No exceptions)

 

3: Home address in Potton to which cheques will be sent.

 

4: Please ensure your application is signed or stamped by a university/college official. A letter confirming your attendance or an admission office issued student card will be accepted. A letter offering a place will not be acceptable.

 

5: New applications may be submitted for each year of study. Application forms are available from Potton Post Office or the Library from August – October and our website www,potton-consolidated-charity.co.uk.

 

6: This grant is not available for ‘A’ Level studies.

 

7: No grants will be considered after the closing date of 31st October.

Cheques will be issued to successful applicants by 31st December. Please do not contact the clerk regarding receipt of a cheque before this date.

HIGHER EDUCATION APPLICATION FORM

 

FURTHER EDUCATION GRANT APPLICATION (16 - 18 Year Olds) FORMS FOR SEPT – JULY

 

1: Grants are available for full or part time study.

 

2: Students should be over the age of 16 and under the age of 19 at the beginning of the academic year, i.e. 1st September.

 

3: Home address in Potton to which cheques will be sent.

 

4: Please ensure your application is signed or stamped by a school/college official. A letter confirming attendance will be accepted. Please contact the clerk prior to submitting your application if it is not possible to have the form signed.

 

5: New applications may be submitted for each year of study. Application forms are available from Potton Post Office or the Library from August – October and our website www,potton-consolidated-charity.co.uk.

 

6: Grants are available only for assistance with travelling costs.

 

7: No grants will be considered after the closing date of 31st October.
